Necromancy is the art of raising the dead to serve the person raising the corpse. Practitioners of this art are called Necromancers. Necromancy is usually thought of as evil because of the immorality of it and the abuse of it by The Order of the Black Worm. Because of this it has been banned from the Mages Guild by Archmage Hannibal Traven. Their are many different books on necromancy in both Morrowind and Oblivion. The player himself never does actually necromancy (where a corpse is permanent) but can summon the undead for a limited amount of time via the Conjuration skill.
