Welcome to the elderscrolls.neo talk page! Here you can post suggestions and feedback for all of the wiki to see. Unlike most talk pages, this page is a discussion of the wiki as a whole, and the main page itself. Here you can post suggestions and feedback for all of the wiki to see. The Wiki is up! We need to focus on game profiles, races, and all the other big stuff first imo.
Actually, scratch that. We need a main page and a Wiki logo first. :P

You guys might want to check out the Age of Conan Wikia homepage for some ideas on organizing a homepage for an RPG world.
Also I thin kwe have to be careful about organizing it so people can find Oblivion stuff easily vs Morrowind and others that might be added as well. Redemption 22:54, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
I'll be researching the next few days for the homepage and the tidbits that seem to be most useful as well as that I will be aiming to get screenshot pages up as well as a few tutorials for the PC versions on how to do said screenshots. Most importantly I will also be looking at starting the main quest pages for both games, all depends on how much time I have this weekend.
As to organisation, indeed we will have to devise a way of making it an easy find for information although it seems Aspect is on the ball with that one as there are a few things from Morrowind within Oblivion, Umbra being one of them. As to others such as the gods, well it may have to be done such as:
blah blah blah
blah blah blah
 I Hear you, SJ
I've just added all of the Morrowind skills to the Skills page. I'm formatting the skills like you suggested. It's getting late here, so I'll categorize them better tomorrow.

 Experimenting with the main page
If it's alright with others, I might have a crack at doing something with the main page, such as making it fancy or at least putting an Elder Scrolls type theme to it. Don't worry I have the original copied and saved on the PC so if I do mess up something I can copy and paste with no worrying involved.
Of course if any object to it then I don't mind leaving it to someone who knows what they are doing and me throwing ideas in here or something

 Elder Scrolls?
Where are the Arena and Daggerfall?
We're not working on Arena and Daggerfall as they're not as well known as Morrowind and Oblivion. I don't think anyone knows anything about the two games, however if you want to contribute to the two games, please do! :)

 Wiki Rollcall
Just wondering who is still around and updating things, I can see from recent changes that Aspect is but it seems to have quietened down here recently. No worries about it since I too have gone quiet and plan to continue with what I said I was going to do. Since the official word on the HUB pages has also gone quiet I have decided to do my own thing and after careful consideration, will be using the Spoiler template so more info in the plot summary can be given.
Also to the question above about Arena and Daggerfall. We all agreed to work on the two popular and current games first since people are more knowledgeable upon them and also many don't know the series and usually join with the third or fourth game (I joined at Morrowind and knew nothing about arena and daggerfall)
However I will be giving them HUB pages soon, if you have knowledge on them then by all means start working on their pages but if you have barely any knowledge on them then they will be left til last. Morrowind and Oblivion take top priority at the moment
Your thoughts as always are appreciated -- ShadowJ 20:35, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
Seems like I'm the only one updating it, and then that's only occasionally. School is here, and it's really crippling my computer time. :(

 Discussion Page Revamped
I've revamped the discussion page, it looks a bit cleaner now and it has a proper introduction. I'm still experimenting so it's not done yet. :)

 I'm Back. Fear.
I slacked off for about six months. I don't know what happened. I don't have as much time as I would like to get stuff done anymore. I'll probably be working on articles in Wordpad when I have downtime at work. I spent all weekend trying to transcribe some game notes and run through a few quests so I could work on a few pages. I think I'm getting hooked on the wiki again. :P
I've had a cold for the past week and I've been very dizzy for the past few days so I don't know if I'll disappear again for a short while or not. I'll try to keep people informed of anything important going on with my projects here as necessary.
Ooh, I just remembered something. I'm having a problem with images I upload. Everything looks great in game but when I take a screenshot the images are too dark. I've started brightening them before uploading and they look fine after brightening... on my monitor/TV. I was just looking at some things here at work and they look too dark on this monitor. Can everybody look at the stuff I've uploaded and tell me if it's fine or if it looks like crap? Thanks.
The images look fine to me. Keep up the great work by the way. :D NyffTotal90 15:37, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
 Scheduled for Execution
In this quest you don't need to sneak past all the guards, you can run past them, as long as you don't harm them you still receive the bonus, just thought that would be a nice thing to put in there for the less sneaky assassians or just lazy ones.
 I'm Out For Awhile.
My motherboard is hosed and my new one won't arrive until Friday, possibly Monday. Until then I'm on my laptop, which isn't the least bit suitable for playing Oblivion and getting anything done.
Removal of sections on Front page and a reminder
I would like to remind everyone to please ADD summaries after editing a section and page, especially when you are removing something.
Onto which, I would like an explanation as to the removal of Image of the month, article of the month and the new section I put into the front page. They were removed without warning or with no explanation. I am fine with them being removed...IF there was a reason.
Thanks ShadowJ 20:47, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
Jugger removed them and I agreed with him as they hadn't been updated in months and didn't look like they were going to change. Sorry about that. It's good to see the featured article back but I really don't see the point in the featured image. Nyff 11:20, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
Only reason they weren't updated were due to the fact I haven't been able to give the wiki my attention, which at the time I was hoping those on the wiki would take iniative and update it themselves. The coding I left behind wasn't hard to understand, there were comments left inside the coding and at most, it would have meant hunting the net for an image. As to the image, it is something different that the other wiki's don't have. Many have spotlight areas and featured articles but I have rarely seen any with featured images. Like I said, I'm all for removing things with a reason but like we just experienced...I was ready to rain hell on Jugger and anyone else for removing and "archiving" something I have worked hard upon. Wouldn't have hurt to add a little summary saying "Got permission to remove these as they weren't being updated often" ShadowJ 04:23, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
 New Header.
If anyone would be kind enough to move some of the stuff around in the Header box so that it looks more presentable, that'd be great.
I personally can't figure it out what with all the coding and such... Short of putting in the new banner, I'm useless in that area... >_<
-Kinganubis2 06:59, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
As you requested through PM, the banner has been centered, and the links have been centered below the banner. --Prometheusx303 16:39, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
Thanks a bunch man. ^_^ -Kinganubis2 20:41, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
 Featured Article
I think that the featured article should be updated at least once a month. That way pages that link to many other pages can be seen from the front page and we can get some activity to the smaller hidden pages.
I'll try and update it myself within the first week of the month (starting next month) but if I happen to miss it, anyone can update it if they want as usual. --Kinganubis2-- 18:19, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
I can change it around once a week if you want, but i dont know the tag or whatever to change it. Serverus 00:27, 6 November 2009 (UTC)
No, I think that would be to often. I'd say at minimum, every 3 weeks.
As for changing it, you just need to go to the top of the page, hit edit and then update the necessary info. (If that makes sense...)

 Return and Quest Walkthroughs
Seriously, this page hasn't had a post in over a year? Bah. After my technical problems I just slacked off and never got back into editing for this wiki. After seeing many areas in need of improving or creating I figured I better jump back in. I edited some pages recently and most of them were copy/pastes from text files I threw together. I feel they're of lower quality compared to my past work and may have several grammatical and factual errors per page - I was very tired as I made the changes and even as I type this I'm about to pass out. If somebody would read over what I submitted and make any corrections they see fit I would be grateful. I see Reason has gone over my previous submissions. If s/he/it or anybody could spare a few minutes to check my posts that would be fantastic. Thanks.
Nice to see you back man, I'll go over your work in a bit :) Would be good if we could all get some activity back into this wiki after such a long period out. Reason 04:30, 22 January 2011 (PST)
