Sanguine the Daedric Prince of hedonistic revelry and debauchery. He often indulges himself in sinful activities as is a hobby of his. His avatar is most common on the signs and in the logos of brothels and whore-houses.
He's usually depicted as a somewhat heavyset man with a demon shaped head, horns and usually has a bottle in his hand.
- Sanguine can either translate to "cheerful optimist" or "bloody" depending on the language; which of course is suiting considering his realm depicts both the light and darker sides of passion.
- He does not make an appearance in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind although he does have a shrine in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
- In order to enter the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary in Cheydinhal for the first time, the player is asked by the enchanted door of the Night Mother, "What color is night?" The response and password to gain entry into the sanctuary itself is, "Sanguine, my brother." This may be a reference to one of the translations of Sanguine's name pertaining to the bloody history of the famed Assassin's Guild.
